Community Cohesion Award WinnersCommunity Cohesion Awards 2011
The Coventry Community Cohesion Awards highlight the commitment made by many organisations and groups in the city to ensure that Coventry continues to be a cohesive city.

To celebrate the good work taking place in Coventry, sixteen projects from across the private, public, voluntary, community and youth sectors in Coventry came together at the city's second Community Cohesion Awards Ceremony.

Groundwork West Midlands - Growing Paradise
Groundwork West Midlands were thrilled to win the Voluntary and Community (Large) category for their Growing Paradise project.

Growing Paradise is a holistic neighbourhood gardening project in the Paradise Neighbourhood in Foleshill but no one organisation can take the credit as it's a real partnership between:

· Paradise Community Action Group

· Registered providers – Midland Heart, Orbit Heart of England & Whitefriars Housing Group

· Groundwork West Midlands

· St Barnabas Family Centre

· Sustainable Communities Officer, Coventry City Council

Funding came from Marks and Spencer’s Greener Living Spaces programme matched with cash and in-kind contributions from all partners.

Private Sector - Progressive Educational Tools

Public Sector - Ernesford Grange Community School

Voluntary and Community (Large) - Groundwork West Midlands
